In May 2024, Rio Grande do Sul was devastated by historic floods. Homes, businesses and entire communities went underwater. Internacional was hit too, with its stadium and training facilities flooded and its players displaced alongside the rest of the city.
Weeks later, the club was required to return to competition. So when Inter stepped back onto the pitch, we made sure the reality back home came with them.
Every jersey was covered in mud, carrying onto the field the same marks that could still be seen across Porto Alegre. It turned football’s most visible asset into a message to the country: the games may have restarted, but thousands of families were still rebuilding their lives.
The shirts became part protest, part call for solidarity. After the match, they were signed by the players and auctioned, raising more than R$250,000 to support people affected by the floods.
For one night, the jersey carried much more than a crest. It carried the city with it.
